The Beach Road has three large shopping malls, located between Pattaya Central Road ( Pattaya Klang) and Pattaya South Road (Pattaya Tai). Central Festival is the largest beachfront shopping mall in Asia.

Royal Garden Plaza

Starting at the south end of Beach Road, the Walking Street end, and heading north, Royal Garden Plaza is the first mall you encounter. It’s open from 11am to 11pm daily. There are fast food restaurants like McDonalds, Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken and several cafes at street level. There is also a large food court on the top floor. The stores in the mall focus on clothing, shoes, jewelry, as well as Thai handicrafts and silks. It also has a pharmacy and book store.

The top floor also has 2 small movie theatres, a game arcade, and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. The Mall is part of the JW Marriott group that operates the Marriot chain of hotels.

Mike Shopping Mall

The main entrance to Mike Shopping Mall is on Beach Road, between Soi 11 and Soi 12. It occupies a whole block, so you can also enter from 2nd Road, if you are travelling north by taxi. The Kiss Food restaurant on the corner of Soi Diana is a good landmark, just opposite the mall.

The mall has five floors. The first floor (ground floor) has a bazaar style with lots of small stands offering T-shirts, football shirts, cosmetics, etc. Here you can negotiate the price if you like! Stores around the outside offer higher value items, optician, travel goods, shoes, and leather goods.

The second floor has men’s clothes, lingerie, swimming gear and the shoe department.

The third floor, has ladies’ clothes, jeans, children’s wear and toys.

The fourth floor has sports equipment, clothing, electric equipment and gift shop.

The fifth floor (top floor), has a food plaza, a great place to relax and eat after shopping, and a Play Land for children.

The mall is open from 11am to 11pm daily, so there is plenty of time to shop, even in the evening!
